National Time-Out Day 2005

Austin Surgical Hospital proudly supports and participates in the practices of the
”Time-Out” method for delivering surgical care. Austin Surgical Hospital and The Association
of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) is supporting the second annual
National Time
Out Day on June 22 to promote safe medication administration practices. National Time
Out Day was inaugurated last year by AORN to encourage health professionals to take a
“time out” before a surgical procedure is performed and review a check list ensuring
patient safety procedures are being followed.
