Surgical Hospital Gets Medicare Certification
The Austin Surgical Hospital has received Medicare certification, according to Hospital Partners of America, Inc., which will operate the new hospital.

The certification allows the hospital to bill its services to Medicare, the federally financed program available for people age 65 and older as well as younger people with disabilities.

The Austin Surgical Hospital is located at 3003 Bee Caves Road, a building that previously housed the Renaissance Women's Center. The 75,000-square-foot medical center closed several years ago because it was unprofitable.

The hospital offers surgical and diagnostic services, including six operating suites, an intensive care unit, a pain management center, an imaging center, rehabilitation services and a 24-hour emergency department.

Physician partners include orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, plastic surgeons, pain management specialists and diagnostic specialists.

Charlotte, NC-based Hospital Partners of America develops and operates hospitals in partnership with physicians throughout the United States.
