Austin Surgical Hospital is a sponsor of the Walk with your Doctor 5K to be held Saturday, Oct 21st in Zilker Park.

Walk with Your Doctor is one way physicians can inspire their patients to become more physically active and lead a healthier lifestyle. Austin Surgical Hospital will have a team walking during the event; registration is free unless participants want a shirt and the shirt registration is $10 per walker... each registrant receives an event T-shirt and bag filled with goodies from the Walk sponsors.

All proceeds benefit Project Access, a coordinated system of volunteer physician care, hospital care, diagnostic services and medication assistance for low-income, uninsured of Travis County. Since early 2003, Project Access has enrolled 1,375 patients and provided over 6,600 patient encounters, all of which resulted in more than $5.2 million in donated care.
