Surgical Tech - FT and PRN

The Surgical Techs will assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures. Will ensure that the operating suite is adequately prepared for each procedure and monitor PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies. We are seeking x-ray, MRI, CT and Ultrasound Technologists to work in our beautiful surgical hospital. We currently have full-time and PRN positions available.
Our Radiological Techs will perform a variety of Imaging procedures and are responsible for patient safety protocols.
They are responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electrical shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients.
Instructs and prepares patients for radiographic and/or fluoroscopic examinations.
Assesses, evaluates and informs physician of changes in the patients condition during examinations.
Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions for the prescribed examination and shields patients accordingly.

Requirements and Qualifications

•Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
•Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists.
•Certified by the State of Texas to practice and administer radiation.
•Current BCLS certification.

Coder

Coder is accountable for conversion of diagnoses and treatment procedures into codes using an international classification of diseases.
Must be skilled in the sequencing of diagnoses/procedures to optimize reimbursement.
Ensures that records are coded and abstracted in an accurate and timely manner
Codes all diagnoses/procedures in accordance to ICD-9-CM coding principles and Coding Manual.

Requirements and Qualifications

RHIT, CCS certification required
2 or more years of previous hospital experience as a Coder.
Knowledge of diagnoses/procedures in accordance with ICD-9-CM coding principles for both acute and skilled nursing facilities.
Ability to work with physicians in a collaborative manner.
Basic computer knowledge is required
Should have a working knowledge of HMS Computer System and 3M Encoder system
Knowledge of Lanier Dictating Systems is required

Unit Clerk - in Emergency Room

Transcribes physicians orders within one hour after being written.
Notifies RN of new written orders and verify existing orders with RN
Enters and verifies orders in the computer system.
Logs all patients on the census board and in computer upon admission, transfer, discharge or expiration.
Communicates appropriately and clearly to resource nurse, co-workers, team leader and physicians.
Consults other departments as appropriate to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to the patient’s needs.
Orders supplies, forms and patient care products as required by unit needs.
Provides clerical and administrative support to ER as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

Must have strong computer skills, outstanding phone etiquette, multitasking abilities, and excellent customer service skills.
Prior ER experience would be a plus.

Lab Tech - PRN

Responsible for performing generalist testing duties in the laboratory. These duties include all tests performed on-site in the areas of hematology, serology, urinalysis, chemistry, coagulation, blood gas and blood bank.
Other responsibilities include processing, storing and referencing out specimens
